2018 guard Traveon Maddox had an excellent outing at the Motor City Roundball Classic, going for 22 points and 3 assists against Detroit Country Day. Hit the jump for fresh highlights of the Oakland University commit.

Traveon was at his best attacking the basket, where he used good change of direction to get separation before finishing at the rim in traffic with good body control. Maddox also showed a good midrange jumper off the bounce, where he knocked down an 18 footer with great balance. Not just a scorer, the Novi guard was able to find teammates on dumpoffs and kickouts for easy baskets after forcing the defense to commit in both the half court and transition. Oakland is getting a high upside prospect in Traveon. At 6’5 with a plus handle, a college ready frame and good athleticism, Maddox has potential to be an All-Horizon type of player in a few years. See  below for highlights.
