2020 guard Tyson Acuff had a big time performance at the DPS Hoops Classic, dropping 20 points and 5 assists against Goodrich. Hit the jump for fresh highlights of the 6’3 Detroit Cass Tech sophomore.

Tyson repeatedly gashed the Goodrich defense and got into the paint with change of speed dribbles before dropping off no look dimes to teammates for easy dunks and layups at the rim. He was also able to finish at the rim with great body control, absorbing contact before converting with soft touch. As a shooter, Acuff was able to bury a pair of triples off the catch with nice arch and good rotation.  Tyson was also effective as a defender in Cass Tech’s zone press, coming up with steals and deflections and turning those into transition dunks. We really love Acuff’s ability to see the floor and break down the opposition off the dribble by playing at different speeds with good acceleration. He’s certainly going to be a prospect to keep track of over the next few years. See  below for highlights.
