David DeJulius opened the 2017/18 season up with a bang on Saturday at the Horatio Williams Tipoff Classic. Hit the jump for fresh film on the 2018 Michigan commit at Cass Tech.

Hazel Park came in with a gameplan to keep the ball out of David’s hands, as he faced double and triple teams that face guarded him all day long. DeJulius had to work extremely hard just to get free, but that didn’t stop him from dropping 22 points and 5 assists. The shifty point guard was his usual self from distance, knocking down multiple triples off the dribble after creating space with change of direction and jabsteps. His development over the past year as a true floor general continued, as David consistently found open teammates for open jumpers after drawing the attention of multiple Hazel Park defenders. The future is bright at the point guard spot for Michigan coach John Beilein, as DeJulius can play on or off ball, giving UM lineup flexibility and floor spacing at all times.  See below for highlights.
