2019 forward Koby Barnett had a coming out party at the Level Up Elite 80 Showcase. Hit the jump for highlights of the versatile junior out of Saginaw High School.

Barnett displayed absolute toughness all day long. The 6’4 forward played much bigger than his size, coming up with rebounds in traffic and finishing through contact against bigger prospects. While his motor and strength set him apart from the competition, Koby displayed a nice skillset that is a bit under the radar to most. There were a few possessions where he brought the ball up the court and showed the ability to gain the advantage on his defender with some shiftiness off the bounce. We didn’t see Barnett attempt many perimeter shots, but his stroke looked good from the free throw line and he converted at a high percentage from the charity stripe. He looks the part of high-quality, heavy impact power forward with a rapidly developing skillset that may see him evolve into more a true wing in short order. See  below for highlights.
