2020 guard Max Perez was one of the standout underclassmen at the Level Up Elite 80 Showcase. Hit the jump for highlights of the sharpshooting sophomore out of Hudsonville High School.
Perez was one of the fastest players with the ball at the event. During the drill portion it was obvious that Max can get to his spots on the floor and his acceleration is certainly formidable. He also displayed a nice handle with the ability to change directions in tight spaces. While Perez displayed nice vision as a pass-first point guard that creates easy looks for teammates on kickouts and dumpoffs, he also has a great shot from the perimeter. Max proved to be an absolute sniper in the three point contest, hitting 13,12,13,15 triples in the the 1 minute qualifying rounds before taking home the championship by hitting 10 triples in a 30 second shoot-off with runner-up Quinn Moffitt in a great display of shooting prowess.
