2018 guard Leon Ayers was a standout performer at the Level Up Elite 80 Showcase. Hit the jump for highlights of the sharpshooting senior out of Troy High School.

Leon was one of the best perimeter prospects at the event. He was able to connect on multiple triples off the catch. Ayers has a beautiful looking stroke with a smooth release, great rotation and no wasted movement. He also flashed the ability to create his own offense off the bounce, as he attacked a closeout going left before hitting a midrange pull-up from 15 feet. Leon showed nice grab and go ability, grabbing defensive boards before pushing it in transition and getting to the rim.  after creating space off the dribble in impressive fashion. His ability to stop on a dime and raise up is very special. The best thing about Ayers is upside, at a legit 6’4-6’5 with great length and a nice shot, he has the look of a great two-way off guard once his frame fills out. Leon is already a very productive prospect and he isn’t even close to reaching his ceiling. See  below for highlights.
