Urban DFW wing Feron Hunt had some standout moments at the Adidas Summer Championships.  Hit the jump for fresh highlights of the 6’7 wing in Las Vegas last weekend.

We were really impressed with Feron’s two-way impact in a matchup against Twenty Two Vision during bracket play. Hunter imposed his will as a defender by blocking multiple shots as both an on-ball defender and on the helpside.  His combination of size, length, athleticism and timing makes him one of the better defenders we’ve viewed this year. Feron displayed a good motor on the glass, often giving multiple jumps and he flushed home a highlight-reel tip dunk that had the crowd buzzing. He thrived in transition where his athleticism in the open court is a notch above most propsects. In the half-court Hunt attacked closeouts well and finished at the rim through contact. The best thing about Feron is upside, he’s not even close to scratching the surface of his full potential. Although he’s still a bit under the radar, programs such as Houston, Wichita State and Tulsa among others have extended official offers in the past few months. We can certainly see the intrigue in the rangy wing with good measurables and nice athleticism.
