Gabe Brown established himself as one of the premier wings in the country this Spring. Hit the jump for some impressive film on the 2018 Michigan State commit and EM top 100 prospect.
Heading into this Spring, Belleville (MI) wing Gabe was a well-known commodity throughout Michigan and the Midwest. However, he was a bit under the radar on the national scene. It was very evident during the initial EYBL Spring event at Boo Williams that Gabe could not only compete against elite level competition, but be one of the better prospects among that group. Brown has proven to be one of the better shooting wings with a high release on a shot that gets off quick. In transition he’s very explosive, as he’s able to elevate off of 1 or 2 legs around the rim in impressive fashion. Defensively he makes life difficult for perimeter players with his size and length. Offensive players often find themselves thinking they have a clean look on a jumpshot before Gabe is able to block or contest the shot with his tremendous wingspan. MSU is getting a prospect with all the physical tools to be an impact two-way wing. Brown has massive upside and isn’t close to being the player he will ultimately become under coach Tom Izzo.
