2019 forward Vernon Carey Jr. had an impressive weekend during EYBL session 4. Hit the jump for fresh highlights on the versatile and skilled 5* big man over Memorial Day weekend in Los Angeles.

Vernon was outstanding against Portland BC, finishing with 17 points and 3 assists while showing great ball skills on the perimeter. Carey displayed a great looking stroke for a post prospect, knocking down a pair of catch and shoot triples from beyond NBA range. While his shooting ability is very good, his vision is nothing short of superb. Vernon dropped a no look dime to a teammate for an easy layup with precise accuracy and touch that is extremely rare for a post player. He was also the playmaker out of a high-low set where he found his teammate with great touch on a post entry pass for an easy bucket. Carey also has the ability to put the ball on the floor for 2-3 dribbles and looks fluid in that regard. Not just a finesse player, Vernon was also a force in the post. He hit a pair of jumphooks over the right shoulder with nice touch. Carey averaged 15.5 points, 4 rebounds and nearly 3 assists per game on 49% from the field . See below for highlights.
