Canadian sophomore Quincy Guerrier has been one of the biggest stock boosters of the Spring. Hit the jump for details on his upcoming visit plans and thoughts on his play this Spring.
While Quincy might not be a huge name in the recruiting world as of right now, he does have a huge game. The 6’7 wing is averaging better than 11 points and 5 rebounds per game while playing up a year in the 17u division on the EYBL circuit.
“It’s a good experience playing on the EYBL circuit. I love the competition,” Quincy told Endless Motor.
A jumbo-sized wing with a nice looking stroke, good athleticism and fluid ballhandling, Guerrier is a matchup nightmare based on his ability to play at nearly every spot on the court.
“My shooting ability is my biggest strength,” said Quincy.
On the recruiting front, Guerrier already holds official offers from SMU, Oregon, Washington State, Florida, Syracuse, Memphis, Seton Hall, St. Bonaventure and Oklahoma.
Quincy is in the early stages of his recruitment, but does have a visit lined up to an ACC powerhouse program.
“I’m taking an unofficial visit to Syracuse Monday.”
Guerrier is a long ways from a commitment and is locked in to controlling things on the basketball court.
“I’m just focusing on getting better right now.”
Quincy is one of the more under-appreciated prospects in the 2019 class, primarily because he doesn’t play his High School ball in the United States. Make no mistake about it, he’s a legit talent for sure. His combination of size, skill and athleticism make him one of the very best sophomores we’ve viewed in 2017. We are extremely confident that Guerrier will be a top 75 prospect in the very near future.
