Antoine Davis has been one of the biggest Spring stockrisers in the 2018 class. Hit the jump to get the sharpshooter’s thoughts on his recent play and his Summer visit schedule.

Two months ago Antoine Davis was a relative unknown on the national scene. After several standout performances on the EYBL circuit, Davis is now firmly on the radar of high-major programs and considered one of the best shooting guards in the country.

“I feel like I’ve played really good. Especially it being my first year on the circuit. The EYBL circuit is completely different from the Adidas circuit I played on last year.”

Make no mistake about it, Antoine is an elite shooter in every sense of the word. He’s currently shooting an absurd 45.3% from beyond the arch on 86 attempts during EYBL play. What makes his numbers truly special is the level of difficulty on a good portion of his shots. Davis is not simply a catch and shoot type that comes off screens, he knocks down contested jumpshots off the bounce in isolation situations with regularity as well.

“I would say my shooting is my biggest strength. Whether it be catch and shoot, off the move, or off the dribble.”

In the past 2 months alone, Davis has picked up offers from Texas A&M, UMass, Cal State-Bakersfield, Oakland University and Nevada in addition to existing offers from Stephen F. Austin, Lamar, Colorado State, Arkansas-Little Rock, UTEP and UT-Martin.

Texas, TCU, Arkansas, SMU, Indiana, Minnesota, Memphis and Purdue are all showing interest as well Antoine tells Endless Motor.

Davis is tentatively set to see a number of schools this Summer as his recruitment heads down the home stretch.

“I’m supposed to be going to Cal State-Bakersfield and Arkansas Little Rock as of right now. And I talked to the assistant coach at Texas A&M and they want me to come up there soon.”

Antoine has no leaders at this point, but is looking to cut his list after taking visits with a commitment timeline that is trending toward the Winter months.

“I don’t have a list yet but I plan on having it after I take my visits. I plan on making a commitment during my high school season.”

The recent recognition for Davis is well deserved considering the ability he’s displayed, but he’s hungry for more this Summer.

“My goals are to just keep improving my game. Then of course try to win it all at Peach Jam. And also land one to two more high major offers before the Summer is over.”

With shooting at a premium more than ever in today’s game, we look for Antoine to pick up a few more high major offers in July. His range extends out to 30 feet, with a quick release and consistent mechanics. His ability to space the floor places him among the truly elite in that category.
