2018 wing DJ Stewart had a productive weekend during the second session of EYBL. The talented 6’7 junior out of Riverside High School (MS) displayed a versatile skillset that had coaches and scouts taking notice during the live evaluation periods.
DJ made a statement in MEBO’s final game of session 2 versus Southern Stampede by dropping 12 points while grabbing 6 rebounds and adding a steal for good measure. Stewart showed impressive shooting ability by knocking down two catch and shoot triples with good form. DJ also displayed tremendous athleticism in transition when he took off from outside the dotted line before throwing down a highlight-reel dunk that looked effortless. Stewart also did a solid job on the boards and as the high post playmaker against a 2-3 zone defense. His unique blend of size, shooting and athleticism is a great combination that programs across the country should certainly be tracking. See below for highlights.
