6’9 forward Bryce Golden had an impressive weekend during EYBL Session 2. Scout’s #79 player in the country displayed a tremendous amount of skill around the basket and will be one to watch this summer.

Bryce has all the fundamentals a coach wants from a contemporary power forward. He has great touch around the rim, the ball skills to beat a defender to the basket off 1-2 dribbles, while being strong enough to finish through contact in the post.  On offense, Golden used a quick first step against larger defenders to get to the rim from the top of the key and mid-post areas. He also looked fluid on the block, as he was able to back a defender down before finishing with a nice scoop shot over his left shoulder and a quick spin move on another occasion. Bryce has a really nice looking stroke from the free throw line and there appears to be lots of potential to use him in pick and pop action at the next level. See below for highlights.
