Grand Rapids Catholic Central (MI) junior Marcus Bingham has been one of the biggest surprises of the Spring. The talented 6’9 wing/forward has proven himself as a multi-skilled prospect with the versatility to play several positions on the floor.

Marcus turned heads during the first two live evaluation periods with legit performances against elite competition on the EYBL circuit.  Bingham carried that over last weekend at the Spiece Run-N-Slam in Fort Wayne. Marcus’ shotmaking ability was on full display in a highly anticipated game against the Akron Bobcats and Pete Nance. He knocked down a catch and shoot corner 3, another triple off of a handoff from a teammate, then he went to work from the wing off the dribble before drawing fouls and converting at the line. On defense, he held Pete Nance scoreless until halfway through the second half. He was able to stay in front of him with good lateral agility for a prospect of his size and his length really bothered Nance around the rim. At a legit 6’9 with a wingspan that likely exceeds 7 feet, his upside and potential is off the charts. See below for highlights.
