2018 guard Coby White had a superb weekend during EYBL Session 2 in Indianapolis. ESPN’s #33 player in the country for 2018 solidified himself as one of the best prospects in the country on the big stage.
Coby displayed elite scoring ability, scoring at all 3 levels from a variety of different spots on the court. White really thrived shooting off the dribble, where he buried difficult shots consistently from both midrange and beyond the arch. Coby has great change of speed off the bounce, where he lulls defenders to sleep before exploding toward the basket. While his scoring prowess is among the very best in the country, White really impressed with his vision as well. He was able to find the roll man out of pick and roll sets for easy dumpoffs on a few occasions. Coby has the potential to slide to either guard spot at the next level with an elite shot, above average vision, and great change of speed ballhandling. For the weekend White averaged 23.3 points and nearly 3 assists and rebounds per game while shooting better than 57% from the field and 47% from three. See below for highlights.
