2018 wing/forward Jericole Hellems displayed high-level scoring ability during EYBL Session 2. The 6’7 junior showed off a versatile skillset from several different spots on the floor.
Jericole played extremely well versus Team CP3, pouring in 14 points and pulling down 5 rebounds. Hellems was stellar from midrange, knocking down shot after shot from the 12-18 foot range. He backed defenders down before dropping stepbacks, created his own shot off the dribble in isolation and came off screens for catch and shoot action. Jericole was also aggressive going to the rim, where he embraced contact and got to the free throw line frequently and converted. Jericole has the ability to play either forward spot, with good touch from midrange, the strength to play in the post and ballskills to beat defenders to the rim off 2-3 dribbles. He definitely has the tools to be a summer stockriser. See below for highlights.
