2018 wing/forward Jacobi Gordon continued to display a versatile skillset in Indianapolis for EYBL Session 2. The #65 player in the country per 247 Sports solidified himself as one of the best players in the country.
Jacobi displayed tremendous ballskills on the perimeter against RM5. The 6’7 wing repeatedly broke defenders down off the dribble and finished at the rim in isolation sets. Against Nike Phamily, Gordon really went to work around the rim, finishing several times through contact over the much bigger Marvin Bagley. While Jacobi’s known as a great athlete with a good motor, his versatitlity and skillset are a bit underappreciated. He has the ability to beat defenders off the dribble from the perimeter, come off down screens and shoot with range to 3, all while being big enough and strong enough to play the post and rebound. Through 4 games in Indianapolis Jacobi averaged 11.3 points, 4.3 rebounds while shooting 59.3% from the field. See below for highlights.
