2017 wing Justin Minaya has been a revelation during EYBL Sessions 1 and 2. The talented 6’7 senior from New Jersey displayed a versatile skillset that had coaches and scouts taking notice during the live evaluation periods.
Minaya really impressed during the opening game of EYBL Session 2 against The Family with 16 points and 5 assists. Justin showed impressive shooting ability by knocking down three catch and shoot triples with good form. He was able to show great ball skills in the halfcourt by creating off the dribble and either finishing at the rim or finding teammates for easy buckets. In transition Minaya looked really good as a finisher, converting through contact with good body control. While Minaya may not have been a huge name on the national scene prior to this weekend, college programs certainly took notice, as he picked up offers from UMass and Illinois. His unique blend of size, shooting and athleticism is a rare combination indeed. See below for highlights.
