Houston Hoops’ Antoine Davis had a breakout weekend during the first session of EYBL. The talented 6’2 guard may have placed himself among the best shooters in the country.

Davis turned heads in his EYBL debut at the Boo Williams Sportsplex with 17 points on 5 triples against Wisconsin Playground Elite. He was the best shooter we viewed during the entire weekend in Hampton with range out to 27 feet. Antoine shot the ball consistently every game, knocking down shot after shot from multiple spots on the court. The most impressive thing about Davis is that he’s not limited to being a catch and shoot prospect. He repeatedly created his own shot off the dribble and the results were the same, a bucket. While Antoine is certainly an elite shooter, he did show some flashes of being more. On a few occasions he penetrated off the dribble and finished with a floater or dished to teammates for easy buckets when the help arrived. Davis may not have been a huge name on the national scene prior to this weekend, but he will be on the radar of college programs across the country moving forward. See below for highlights.
