Endless Motor Sports had the privilege of speaking with David Collins, one of the fastest rising guards in the 2017 class. The First Love (PA) standout speaks on the high school season, additions to his game over the summer and where he’s at with the recruiting process.

     I. High School Season

EM: How are things going for First Love so far from a team and individual standpoint?

DC: From a team standpoint we are on a nice run right now, we’re playing well together and everybody is getting looks.

     II. Self Analysis

EM: What did  you work on and add to your game over the summer and fall?

DC:  I spread the floor with my shooting ability, which opens up my driving and I’m a good finisher so it helps me excel. And I know how to find my teammates when I get doubled.

     III. Recruiting

EM: What offers do you currently hold?

DC: Cincinnati, Toledo, Rice, St. Bonaventure, Fordham, Robert Morris, Southeast Missouri State, LIU Brooklyn, Kent State, Iona, Siena

EM: Which schools are showing interest that haven’t yet offered?

DC: Virginia Tech, Tennessee, Rutgers, Kansas State, TCU

EM: Which schools are recruiting you the hardest/do you hear from the most?

DC: Toledo, Kent State, SE Missouri State, Cincinnati, Iona, Fordham, St. Bonaventure, Siena, Rice

EM: Any visits line up?

DC: Waiting until after the season.

EM: What factors are important to you and your family during the recruiting process when making the college decision?

DC: Best fit, a place that fits my style and a coaching staff I know will develop me into the best possible player. Location doesn’t matter

     IV. Season Goals

EM: What are your goals for the rest of the season for both the team and yourself?

DC: Be ranked nationally from a team standpoint, and to get as many schools as possible so I can have a variety of schools to choose from before I make my decision.
