Endless Motor Sports had the privilege of speaking with 2018 4star post Riley Battin, the #21 center in the country per ESPN. The Oak Park (CA) standout speaks on the high school season, additions to his game over the summer and where he’s at with the recruiting process.

     I. High School Season

EM: How are things going for Oak Park so far from a team and individual standpoint?

RB: It’s going very well. We have played a very tough schedule and should be placed in the Open Division for playoffs. Individually I feel I have been playing very well.

     II. Off-Season Improvements

EM: What did  you work on and add to your game over the summer and fall?

RB:  I really worked on my body, I lost 30 pounds during the off-season. I also worked to improve my jumping and quickness.

     III. Recruiting Update

EM: You had a really great summer and showed college coaches what you were capable of. What offers do you currently have?

RB: I have offers from Portland, San Francisco, American, Utah State, Cal-Poly, CBU, Davidson, Northwestern and Utah

EM: Which schools would you say are recruiting you the hardest/show the most interest?

RB: I would say Davidson, Utah, Northwestern, Butler, Hawaii, Notre Dame, and Indiana are some of the schools recruiting me the hardest.

EM: How was the Stanford visit?

RB: It went really well. I was able to watch their game yesterday as well.

EM: Any other visits line up?

RB: I visited Colorado last weekend, but as of now I don’t have any others planned.

     IV. Season Goals

EM: What are your goals for the rest of the season for both the team and yourself?

RB: My goals for our team is to win a state championship this year. We came up short last year and I don’t want us to come up short again.
