Endless Motor Sports had the privilege of speaking with 2018 4star guard Diante Wood, the #17 shooting guard in the country per ESPN. The Sacred Heart Catholic (AL) standout speaks on the high school season, additions to his game over the summer and where he’s at with the recruiting process.

     I. High School Season

EM: How are things going for Sacred Heart so far from a team and individual standpoint?

DW: As a team everything is going good, we are playing as one unit. Individually, I’m doing good by giving it my all every game and helping my team come out with wins.

 

 

 

 

     II. Off-Season Improvements

EM: What did  you work on and add to your game over the summer and fall?

DW:   I worked on shooting, being more aggressive with the ball and in the weight room working on my strength and conditioning.

 

 

 

 

     III. Recruiting Update

EM: You had a really great summer and showed college coaches what you were capable of. What offers do you currently have?

DW: Auburn, Alabama, Samford, UAB, Iowa State, Wichita State

EM: Which schools would you say are recruiting you the hardest/show the most interest?

DW: Auburn is recruiting me the hardest and I talk to Georgia a lot as well

EM: Any visits line up?

DW: No, not yet.

 

 

 

 

     IV. Season Goals

EM: What are your goals for the rest of the season for both the team and yourself:

DW: The team goal is to win state again and make it a three-peat. Individually, the goal is to just play to the best of my ability each game and give it my all.
