Endless Motor Sports had the privilege of speaking with 2018 3star guard Jamal Bieniemy, the #40 shooting guard in the country per 247Sports. The Obra D. Tompkins (TX) standout speaks on the high school season, additions to his game over the summer and where he’s at with the recruiting process.

     I. High School Season

EM: How are things going for Tompkins so far from a team and individual standpoint?

JB: As a team we are playing our best basketball right now. Individually, I have been playing good basketball and leading my team. But there is always room for improvement.

 

 

 

     II. Off-Season Improvements

EM: What did  you work on and add to your game over the summer and fall?

JB:   Since the summer I have worked on the three ball and mid-range jumper. Also my lateral quickness and explosiveness.

 

 

 

     III. Recruiting Update

EM: You had a really great summer and showed college coaches what you were capable of. What offers do you currently have?

JB: I have been offered by Texas A&M, Oklahoma State, New Mexico, University of Houston, Tulsa

EM: Which schools are showing interest that haven’t yet offered?

JB: Florida, Oklahoma, Michigan, UCLA, Creighton

EM: Which schools would you say are recruiting you the hardest/show the most interest?

JB: Oklahoma State and Creighton have been recruiting me the hardest.

EM: Any visits line up?

JB: I’m heading to Oklahoma State on February 18th. That’s all I have lined up as of now.

 

 

 

     IV. Season Goals

EM: What are your goals for the rest of the season for both the team and yourself:

JB: For the rest of the season I want to continue to build with my brothers and take it all the way. Individually, I want to keep growing as a leader on the team.
