Eric Hunter is an elite student-athlete currently attending Tindley High School in Indianapolis. Hunter is one of the most sought after perimeter prospects in the country, currently ranked the #15 shooting guard and the #86 player overall in the class of 2018 per Scout. Eric is the prototype shooting guard that can score from the perimeter or at the rim with a nice jumpshot, good handle, and great court vision. That versatile skillset has made Hunter a stockriser on the recruiting front with high major programs looking to land the talented sharpshooter.
I. AAU & SELF ANALYSIS
EM: Can you tell us how things went this summer for Team Harris as a team and for you individually?
EH: As a team we grew tremendously, went out to some places and represented Indy and Gary. Individually, I got a lot better I believe. I made plays for my team and scored when I had to.

EM: Can you describe your game for those that are not familiar?
EH: Pretty much a very unselfish scorer. I like to get buckets but then I love to make my team better as well. I’m always in attack mode.
EM: How often do you work on your game?
EH: I work on my game every day. I’m looking to improve on my outside shot, getting deeper and finishing over the top in the half court setting.
Headed to OT between Gary Harris 2018 and Bledsoe Ice. Eric Hunter having a game though with 33 points, including 7 3-pointers.

II. ACADEMICS AND OFF-COURT INTERESTS
EM: Can we talk a bit about your interests as a student, what is your favorite subject?
EH: My favorite subject would probably have to be philosophy right now.
EM: What do you plan to major in when attending college?
EH: I want to major in Business Finance.
EM: What are your interests off the court?
EH: I’m definitely a family and friends type of kid. Family over everything.
Eric Hunter scored 22 points in the first half, but Roncalli beat Tindley 48-47 at the IUPUI team camp. Christian Stewart had 17.

EH: IUPUI, Kent State, Xavier, Ball State, Toledo, IPFW, Butler, Purdue and East Carolina
EM: Which schools show interest that haven’t yet offered?
EH: Indiana, Michigan, Michigan State, Tulsa, Nebraska
EM: Michigan seems to be a school that is really prioritizing you recently, can you tell us about your relationship with Michigan?
EH: Yeah I like Michigan a lot. My relationship with Coach Beilein has gotten close pretty fast over these past two weeks I would say. I’ve known coach Saddi Washington for about a year now. We’ve been in contact a lot since June.
EM: Any visits lined up in the near future?
EH: I’m headed to Nebraska this weekend and I will be headed up to Indiana in these next couple of weeks.
EM: What factors are important to you and your family when making your college decision?
EH: Definitely being able to play right away, and how good of a relationship we’ve had up to the point of my decision.

IV. PERSONAL GOALS & ADVICE
EM: Any personal goals on or off the court?
EH: On the court I would like to just keep getting better and making it to the next level.
EM: Last, if you could give the youth some advice on how to succeed either on or off the court, what would you say?
EH: I would tell them to find what you love and do everything in your power to perfect your craft.
