I. OUTLOOK & SELF ANALYSIS
EM: Congrats on the great season with Country Day last year, can you tell us what to expect from the team and from you individually for the upcoming year?
KD: First off, I think our team will be great this season. We have a good blend of a lot of experienced players and a lot of new players, who are ready to play. We are going to take one step at a time this year, and not just focus on a state title. We want to be 1-0 every week, that’s how we are looking at it. Myself, I am looking forward to having a great season because of all the talent we have, and we can be really scary when we bring it all together.
EM: Can you describe your game for those that are not familiar?
KD: I play the ‘Buck’ backer or the strong-side backer. My other positions are slot and running back. At the buck position there’s a lot of versatility, such as me covering tight ends and blitzing a lot too. My game is fast, smart, and strong.
EM: What part of your game did you focus on improving this off-season?
KD: I focused on getting better on offense, and becoming a great coverage player.
Kolin Demens certainly showed up & looked the part. He's going to keep growing & right now he's got nice control in open field to make plays

KD: My favorite subjects are Math and Science.
EM: What do you plan to major in when attending college?
KD: In college I want to major in Anesthesiology or something else in the doctoral field, another one is Engineering.
EM: What are your interests off the field?
KD: I like hanging with friends as much as possible. I’m also big into music and fashion.
