Gavin Bizeau is an elite student-athlete currently attending Plainfield High School in metropolitan Indianapolis. Gavin is one of the most sought after post prospects in the Midwest, currently ranked the #8 player in the state of Indiana for the class of 2018 per Prep Hoops. The 6’9 stretch four is the type of skilled forward that thrives in today’s game with his ability to knock down perimeter jumpshots, while having the size and athletic ability to finish at the rim, rebound, and block shots.

EM: Congrats on the great Spring/Summer, you turned some heads with your ability. Can you tell us how things went for Spiece as a team and for you individually?

GB: Summer with Spiece went well, it was fun going against the best talent in eybl. Personally, April-July I was able to improve every tournament and showcase my talent and athleticism.

EM: Can you describe your game for those that are not familiar?

GB: I classify myself as a stretch 4 with my shooting ability and ballhandling skills. But I can play more of a guard role or big role if needed.

EM: How often do you work on your game?

GB: Strength-wise I lift twice a day, 5 days a week with my high school. Then I workout with my trainer 3 times a week. Basketball-wise i get up 500 shots a day, then train with my trainer 3 times a week.

EM: Can we talk a bit about your interests as a student, what is your favorite subject?

GB: My favorite subject is History.

EM: What do you plan to major in when attending college?

GB: I plan to get a Business degree.

EM: What are your interests off the court?

GB: I like to hang with my family and friends, but right now I’m really on basketball.

EM: Shifting a bit to recruiting, can you tell us which schools have offered?

GB: Akron, Indiana State, Ball State, Toledo

EM: Which schools show interest that haven’t yet offered?

GB: Ohio University, Northern Illinois and Evansville have had constant contact with me, but I get a lot of texts and mail from various mid-majors.

EM: Any visits or team camps lined up in the near future?

GB: Only thing scheduled for now is Indiana top 80 camp, but I am planning on visiting Ohio University in the fall.

EM: What factors are important to you and your family when making your college decision?

GB: I’m just looking for a good fit. I also would like a program that has a winning culture and tradition of winning.

EM: Any personal goals on or off the court?

GB: On court my goal this year is to make the junior Indiana All-Star team and lead the state in double-doubles. Off court I want to increase my weight from 190 to 210 and increase my vertical from 28 to 32.

EM: Last, if you could give the youth some advice on how to succeed either on or off the court, what would you say?

GB: I would say to go 100% percent if its on the court or in the classroom. Also take advantage of every opportunity you can to play against better competition.
