David DeJulius is an elite student-athlete that plays on the prestigious EYBL circuit for The Family AAU club. Currently attending school in Detroit, David will decide his High School destination for the 2016-2017 year in the coming weeks. The 6’1 point guard is one of the most productive sophomores in the entire Midwest, and although DeJulius is not currently ranked, that is certain to change as David has played consistently well this spring on the AAU circuit. Although David is best known for his ability to penetrate a defense using his tight handle to create for himself and teammates, he is also an honor-roll student that holds down a 3.9 GPA.
I. AAU & SELF ANALYSIS
EM: Congrats on the great Spring so far, you’ve turned some heads with your ability. Can you tell us how things are going for The Family as a team and for you individually?
DD: Thank you. Things are going great. I take pride in not only going out there to display what I work on but play for the name on the front of the jersey. People are starting to take notice because my game has picked up. My coaches have taught me how to play the right way.

EM: Can you describe your game for those that are not familiar?
DD: Everyone knows I work extremely hard and I’m very competitive, and so that will show on the court, but people don’t see my high character, how great of a teammate I am. Just encouraging guys to keep pushing and improving.
EM: How often do you work on your game?
DD: Every day. I work so much that my trainers are trying to get me to rest my body more.

II. ACADEMICS AND OFF-COURT INTERESTS
EM: Can we talk a bit about your interests as a student, what is your favorite subject?
DD: Can’t say that I have a favorite subject in particular because I’m interested in all of my classes. I have a 3.9 GPA, and take college courses at UM Dearborn.
EM: What do you plan to major in when attending college?
DD: I want to double major in Business and Entrepreneurship.
EM: What are your interests off the court?
DD: I love the outdoors, taking walks, riding bikes and hanging with my teammates on road trips.

DD: Pittsburgh, Stanford, Xavier, Duquesne, Toledo and Kent State. I grew up a U of M guy, so it would be nice to have them show a little interest.
EM: Which schools do you hear from the most?
DD: Xavier, Pittsburgh, Stanford
EM: Any visits or team camps lined up in the near future?
DD: Possibly the Nike Top 100 Camp and I plan on visiting Xavier soon.
EM: What factors are important to you and your family when making your college decision?
DD: Education, campus/school environment, and basketball – in that order. My mom feels the same way.

IV. PERSONAL GOALS & ADVICE
EM: Any personal goals on or off the court?
DD: Making it to heaven first, growing up to be a great husband and father, and making it to the NBA.
EM: Last, if you could give the youth some advice on how to succeed either on or off the court, what would you say?
DD: Follow the Lord’s way. Do your end as far as having good character, getting stellar grades and working hard on and off the court, and leave the rest to God.
